CCPI is absolutely opposed to the use of the Internet for unsolicited email, spam or Junk mail.
Though our web site, individuals have the option to subscribe to our email newsletter. The primary purpose of our web site and newsletter is to bring wider awareness to the ongoing plight of the 3-4 million children who suffer the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986. We will use our email newsletter to keep subscribers updated on our projects.
If you opt to subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect only the information you provide us, including your name, email address and street address (optional). Our sole purpose in collecting this information is to keep in touch with you. We will not share any information you give us with third parties.
Because we are serious in opposing unsolicited email and respecting your personal privacy, the purpose of this Privacy Policy is to fully disclose our uses of the limited personal information you have entrusted to us.
Registering for our newsletter
The form that you fill out when you register for our newsletter is provided by an email list management service called MailerMailer.com. We selected this service because it is easy to use, provides an easy way for you to UNSUBSCRIBE, is inexpensive, and because they have adopted a strong anti-spam policy. They will not rent, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal information, including your email address. You can learn all about this list management service at mailermailer.com.
If you register to receive our newsletter, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to confirm your subscription. You will be able to opt out of receiving our newsletter at that time, or at any future date.
Fundraising
CCPI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Naturally, we hope that once you learn about our projects and the needs that they address, you will feel inspired to financially support us. We may send you information about specific projects for which we need financial support. If would like to do so, you may donate through our web site or through mail. Our online donation process is a secure process managed by Network for Good. We may offer CCPI products, the sale of which will fund our programs. Donations to CCPI are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by postal mail. We will not share information about whether, or how much, you have donated to any third party.
Web Site Information Collection
For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name or IP address, but not the e-mail address. We collect only the domain name or IP address of visitors to our Web page, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, the e-mail addresses of those who subscribe to our newsletters, and information volunteered by visitors. We use SSL (secure socket layer) encryption for online payment collection for purchases of any products we might offer for sale to raise funds for CCPI.
Use of Web Site Information
The information we collect (such as pages accessed) is used in the aggregate so that we can improve the content and design of our Web site. We will not share this information with outside organizations for commercial purposes.

Use of Your Email and Postal Address
We will use your email address to send you our online newsletter and to keep you updated on our projects. We will not share your email address with any third party. If you subscribed to receive our email updates but do not want to receive them in the future, please follow the "unsubscribe" instructions contained in the newsletter.
You have the option of giving us your postal mailing address when you sign up for our email newsletter. If you do so, CCPI may use this information to send you postal mail. We will not share this information with any third party for commercial purposes.
Changes to Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this Privacy Policy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our Web site's Privacy Policy page to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site's Privacy Policy page periodically.
