Many of you have supported our work for years, and will welcome the increased awareness that will come with this milestone anniversary, and the recognition that the aftermath of the disaster continues to affect millions.     $3 million humanitarian aid convoy sets off for historic Chernobyl journey  

    Our all-volunteer, overland humanitarian aid convoy -- comprised of 42 artic trucks and ambulances -- will travel 3000 miles through 9 countries to deliver aid to the neediest communities in Belarus and western Russia. A special mobile thyroid monitoring unit will be donated to the International Red Cross. With your support, Chernobyl Children's Project International has delivered over $70 million in aid via overland convoy. Read more.

    For many US citizens the Chernobyl disaster is a distant memory – but a coalition of American organizations is hoping to change that.
